WHO:

Students entering grades 7-12 for the '23-'24 school year!

WHAT:

Over the course of the two-week Summer Voice Institute, students will work on developing their own individual vocal technique and skill. All institute participants will attend the two group sessions each morning, which will be taught by highly-regarded guest vocal clinicians. The guest clinicians, as well as some Mitchell School District Music Faculty members will then provide the institute participants with individual, one-on-one, voice lessons in the afternoons. Each participant will receive 2-4 individual lessons per week for both weeks of the institute. Masterclasses will also be scheduled in the afternoons, as time allows. During the Masterclasses, solos will be performed, as works in progress, for the institute participants and voice instructors for the performers to then receive feedback to help aid them in the learning process. On the final day of the institute, there will be a final performance.
